Both our churches are Fairtrade Churches.
As part of our commitment to Fairtrade, we have been running our Fairtrade stall, called ‘The Fairtrade Kitchen Cupboard’ (FKC), for over 10 years. We sell a range of Fairtrade staples (for example, rice, tea, coffee, sugar, extra virgin olive oil) and goodies (chocolate, Medjoul dates, dried mango, honey, marmalade), and also seasonal Fairtrade Advent calendars and Easter eggs.
We sell goods from producer groups who are committed to making really positive change in their local communities, for example Meru Herbs in Kenya, Ma’s Happy Life Kitchen in Sri Lanka, Zaytoun in Palestine and Divine in Ghana. Several of the products are so good that they have been recognised by the Great Taste Awards.
We run stalls after the Sunday service at the Good Shepherd church twice a month, taking payment by card or cash. You can also place an order on our FKC website www.thefairtradekc.co.uk/
