Vicar – we don’t currently have a vicar as Revd Bridget Shepherd is now Archdeacon for Wandsworth and moved away from the parish at the beginning of May 2025. We hope to recruit a new vicar soon. Meanwhile we’re in a vacancy and in the very capable hands of our Assistant Curate and two Churchwardens. You can find out more about our search for a new vicar here.
Assistant Curate – Revd Chris Henriette
Chris was ordained in June 2023, and is now serving as the Curate at the Good Shepherd and St. Peter. Chris is married to Beth and has three children. Chris has lived his whole life in Lewisham and was a youth worker and early years professional for 20 years before entering training for the priesthood.
Chris enjoys training at a martial arts gym in Catford and loves to draw and paint if he ever gets any spare time.
Churchwarden – Sue Tearle
Sue has been coming to the Good Shepherd for 17 years and has previously served on the PCC and also as PCC secretary. Sue is married to Conway.
After taking early retirement she has started working part time for a local charity – The Estate Charity of William Hatcliffe. Sue also enjoys visiting family. sue@goodpeter.org.uk
Churchwarden – James Murdoch
James and his wife, Cherry, live 350 yards from the Good Shepherd and have five adult children between them. James has had an international career in Energy Trading and, although living in Lee for more than 27 years, has been a regular worshipper in a number of churches at home and abroad with many different church traditions – can you be a Charismatic Evangelical Protestant Anglo-Catholic with Roman and Orthodox tendencies? His email is james@goodpeter.org.uk and he is always happy to meet up for a coffee and chat.
Church Administrator – Fiona Morrison
Fiona has lived in the area for over 20 years, with her husband and 2 daughters. Her parents lived in Lee and she was baptised at St. Peter’s. Fiona is a volunteer for Cancer Research and in her spare time loves going to the theatre and doing small upholstery projects! office@goodpeter.org.uk 020 8318 5809
